How it works
DynaDex makes use of the presence of Meta tags in your documents and file information on your server to determine the 'freshness' of various updated pages. DynaDex is activated via an server-side include tag that is included on your html pages. DynaDex can retrieve a variety of data on uploaded html pages for display on a front or index page.

Indexes newest content
Using what we call the 'Gecko' script, Dynadex finds the newest content in a particular directory and indexes it on the page calling the Gecko script. For example, if your entry page contains the latest press release put out by your company, you would use DynaDex to grab the release from the press release directory and insert it onto the index page for you. All you have to do is upload the press release to the appropriate directory, which you would do anyway.

Dynamic indexing of entire directories
Utilizing our 'Komodo' script, compile lists of all the files in a particular directory. This effectively updates an archive page.

Build crosslinks to related content
With the 'Anole' script you can have pages which automatically link to other pages with similar content. This is done through keyword matching.

Retrieve information from specific pages
Updating information about a specifc page that changes frequently is a task handled by our 'Gila' script. This can be anything from a 'last updated on' message to a current meta-description of that page.

DynaDex is Freeware!
You can download a fully functioning copy of DynaDex for your website. Use it with no obligation.

Cross Platform Compatible
DynaDex is written in the popular Perl programming language and runs on both Windows NT and UNIX webservers. Check the system requirements to see if it will run on your specific system.
